Thank you to everyone who came along on Saturday the 18th November 2018 and joined in the festivities and explored all the Merge Festival village had to offer.
With the weather being perfect an estimated 16,000 attended throughout the day and the festival has been heralded as a resounding success. People came to dance, to make, to listen, to eat, to shop, to mingle, to watch and to explore. Our suspended Swarm of Swan River Jellyfish were adored by all. Famous Sharron took a selfie or three and the Silent Disco was a non-stop hit. The Civic Square Library was such a buzz and scrubbed up quite nicely as a Parisian Jazz Bar. Our pop up circus venues presented 34 amazing shows to full houses. Thanks to all the food vendors, all the market stalls, the performers, the artists, the authors and the activity providers who made the day so much fun. Thank you also to the event staff, the event volunteers, the security team, the first aid team, the traffic management team, the Melville SES and everyone else who worked hard behind the scenes to ensure everything ran seamlessly. Thank you also to our event partners including Melville Times, Hoyts Garden City, Garden City Perth and Murdoch University. The event photos will be shared over the coming week here and on social media.
Saturday, 18 November, 1pm to 9pm.
